Analogue AV cables
What connectors are on the cables?
The cables come with three connectors on each end.
Can you link the cables together?
Yes you can link two cables together with an extension kit. The extension does sound daunting, but it is straight forward. The power (Red) will plug into the female of the other cables. The yellow and white connectors need an coupler. This is the connector in the extension kit that looks like a miniature pair of binoculars.
Can I link more than two cables?
Yes you can link as many as you like. Just be careful as there is a slight reduction in quality the further you extend the cables.

We don’t advise that you repair the cable. The power part of the cable is screened. This means that it has a metal sleeve around it to stop it affecting the other cores. The cable has also got a common negative earth and if not connected corrected, it can affect your camera. Besides this, it is really fiddly and far easier to replace the cable.
DC cables

This is short for Direct Current. This is the constant flow of electrons used for batteries and solar.
What is the dimensions of the connectors?
Most of our cameras use 2.1mm (inner) and 2.5mm (outer). Other cameras may vary.
